I will be participating in this, covering my head in solidarity with all the women (and some men) who choose to do so, either during religious rituals or every day as an expression of their commitment to their Gods.
This is not just a Muslim or Jewish "thing," there are many, many Pagans who also choose to cover for one reason or another. As more and more polytheists begin practicing as their ancestors did (in many polytheistic cultures both men and women covered during religious rites out of piety and respect), more and more are being harassed. The Covered in Light Day was, I believe, started as a means of standing up in solidarity against such hate.
