Prayer to Sigyn

Hail Sigyn. 
Hail, Wife of Loki.
Hail, Incantation Fetter. 
Lady of the Staying Power, 
Lady of Enduring Grace. 
Look kindly upon my prayer. 

Lady of Unyielding Gentleness, 
Lady of the Unconquerable Heart, 
Mother of Narvi and Vali, 
Be ever honored. 

North Star, 
Victory Woman, 
Goddess of Constancy, 
May You ever be praised!

What a lovely picture. I was wondering if the connection between Sigyn is historically attested. It is in any case a beautiful metaphor for constancy.

between Sigyn and constancy? it's easily inferred from what remains of Her story. I don't put much stock by lore: written down by christians centuries after conversion, never intended to be used as religious texts. I put my faith in direct experience.

i've found from experience that She's very much a Goddess of constancy and endurance. I didn't come up with this though, other Sigyn's women did and I had the grace of learning at their feet. i've been really lucky and coming to develop a relationship with Sigyn is one of the greatest of blessings that I've been given.

If She comes to you in another way, i'd love to talk about it. We can never know too much of our Gods. :)

I am sorry, I must have accidentally deleted a word. I meant if the connection between Sigyn and the north star is one that is historically attested. The North star being such a lovely metaphor for constancy I find it suits Sigyn very well.

no problem. :) I actually don't know. It feels right and one of the most devout Sigyn's women i've ever known used to call Her that all the time but i have no idea if it's attested in lore.
